Richard is the Chief Executive Officer and President of Risk Management Specialists where he channels his 25+ years of experience in the risk management industry to be a relentless advocate, advisor and problem solver for his client partners.
As our founder, he is responsible for setting the vision and value systems of the organization, which encapsulates what it means to be a part of Risk Management Specialists: client partners and communities.
Richard leads teams creating innovative solutions and pragmatic approaches to make his client partners’ businesses better. He helps them protect their most valuable assets – their people, property, and reputation. The success formula that he brings to the table is taking personal ownership in managing his client partners’ risks to solve their most complex problems.
On the other end of the spectrum to his client partners is that of communities. Richard’s belief is that service to others is one of life’s chief obligations, which has resulted in his participation, philanthropical support and dedication to various not-for-profit organizations that emphasize people, animals, and the environment.
Prior to launching Risk Management Specialists, Richard’s years of experience included roles as one of the top brokers for a nationally ranked insurance brokerage, the risk manager for an elite higher education institution, and the risk manager for one of California’s largest heavy civil engineering and construction enterprises.
